We’re pleased to share that our Executive Director, Garrelt Alberts, has joined TNO’s Strategic Advisory Council. With his extensive experience across both industry and knowledge institutions, Garrelt brings valuable insight to the council’s work.
About the TNO Strategic Advisory Council
The Strategic Advisory Council (SAC) is composed of leading representatives from industry, government, and knowledge institutions. The appointment term of the members of the Strategic Advisory Councils coincides with the Strategic Plan period. Members are selected on the nomination of the Management Team of the unit and formally appointed by the Executive Board, in accordance with the SAC regulations.
The Strategic Advisory Councils have an advisory role at the TNO High Tech Industry Unit with regard to setting priorities and determining substantive focus areas and programmes within the scope of the Unit. The SAC identifies external developments relevant to the Unit’s environment and shares these insights with the Unit Management Team.
A Strategic Advisory Council meets at least twice a year, in the presence of a member of the Executive Board. The chairs of the Strategic Advisory Councils are invited at least once a year by the Executive Board for strategic consultation. Read more on the TNO organizational structure.
