Today is World Quantum Day, an annual celebration to promote awareness and understanding of quantum science and technology around the world. A great way to mark the day together with the quantum ecosystem is by looking back at milestones reached through the OpenSuperQPlus collaboration.
OpenSuperQPlus success story
OpenSuperQPlus recently released a success‑story video reflecting on three productive project years The video features project members from FZ Jülich, Qruise, the TU Delft (DiCarlo Lab), Zurich Instruments, KIT (Institute of Quantum Materials), Aalto (Quantum Computing and Devices group) and WMI, describing their experience with the collaboration.
Together with Zurich Instruments, OrangeQS developed a backend for Quantify and deployed OrangeQS Racks at Aalto University and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). This resulted in successful measurements at both institutions.
“Aalto has been a part of the OpenSuperQPlus project, and we have been testing racks from Orange Quantum Systems for a year now”, states Tuomas Uusnäkki, PhD candidate at Aalto University. “We have been able to reliably speed up the characterization processes for finding our qubit parameters and coherence. This has been very useful for researching the single qubit devices, which is very important for developing the OpenSuperQPlus quantum computer.”

The system forms the operational backbone of a quantum chip measurement setup and integrates cleanly with the cryogenic environment. The racks are part of the FLEX building blocks.
