A new product video for the OrangeQS FLEX is now available. In this video, Marlo introduces OrangeQS FLEX, a modular product line that offers flexible, customizable setups that integrate seamlessly with existing equipment and scale alongside your experiments. During the APS Global Physics Meeting, we will showcase and demonstrate the software components of FLEX, including the open-source Juice operating system and the OrangeQS Suite, at the OrangeQS booth.
About OrangeQS FLEX
The OrangeQS FLEX product line brings together a powerful set of modular components that form a fully integrated quantum chip testing environment for quantum R&D labs. FLEX is designed to work seamlessly alongside existing quantum lab infrastructure and provides a unified framework that scales with your research.
At the core of the FLEX system are three key groups of building blocks.
1. Cryogenic subsystem
Cryogenic sample environment and I/O chain, with optional reference QPU.
2. Room-temperature subsystem
The OrangeQS Rack contains hardware engineered for stability, performance, and clean integration of all test equipment.
3. OrangeQS Suite
Proprietary Apps & Open-source Frameworks form a comprehensive software environment offering best‑in‑class diagnostics, system control, and workflow automation. The Suite makes use of OrangeQS Juice, the open-source operating system for quantum R&D labs.
Each building block can be individually customized and purchased. We also offer a complete FLEX system based on system-level requirements, like the type and number of qubits you work with.

OrangeQS Juice and Suite demos at APS 2026
The OrangeQS Suite forms the software layer of the FLEX platform. It consists of Proprietary Apps, like SCQT, and Open-source Frameworks, like Juice. Live demonstrations of both will be available at the OrangeQS booth during APS. Juice and the OrangeQS Suite will also be featured at other booths throughout APS. Visitors are encouraged to stop by the Leiden Cryogenics booth, number 1900, to see results from a recent joint Quper project.

About OrangeQS Suite
The OrangeQS Suite contains the Open-Source Frameworks and Proprietary Apps you need to run, automate, and scale your experiments — from cooling down the fridge to automatic qubit tune-up.
For qubit characterization and calibration, the Suite includes libraries of diagnostic protocols designed to run reliably and efficiently. Depending on the type of qubits you’re working with, you can use libraries of diagnostic protocols for superconducting qubits, TWPAs, or spin qubits. Our Superconducting Qubit Tools (SCQT) contains experiments from hardware verification and corrections up to two qubit gate fidelities and crosstalk characterization.
Within the OrangeQS Suite, you have all the tools you need to build advanced experiments, including physics-based APIs with a pulse-level simulator and graph-based automation through GRACE. The Suite is well documented and includes extensive tutorials.
The OrangeQS Suite also contains Subzero, a unique hardware abstraction layer that makes it easy to monitor and control the cryogenic part of your setup. For the connection to room-temperate electronics, the OrangeQS Suite uses the open-source Quantify framework.
