Two weeks ago, the fifth edition of the unitaryHACK came to a close. After 2+ weeks of working together, the community pushed out a record amount of code in the hackathon’s history. Each year, unitaryHACK grows larger, and this is a testament to the importance and staying power of open source quantum computing.
This year, 172 bounties were closed and $19,710 was earned by 78 hackers. This is significantly more than the 139 bounties, $13,142 earned, and 68 hackers in 2024. Congratulations to everyone who closed bounties, contributed to projects in meaningful ways, and built relationships both online and in person during the two weeks of unitaryHACK.
