Thank You for a Great APS Global Physics Summit 2026

20-03-2026

The days of the APS Global Physics Summit passed quickly. Over the course of the event, we made many new connections, co-hosted a successful Resonance community event, saw dr. Adam Lawrence deliver a strong presentation, and welcomed many visitors to our booth for live demonstrations. We would like to thank everyone who stopped by and we already look forward to the next edition of APS.

APS Global Physics Summit 2026 at OrangeQS
Throughout the Summit, the OrangeQS team gave hands-on demonstrations of OrangeQS Juice, the open-source operating system for quantum R&D labs, and OrangeQS Suite, which contains the software tools required to run, automate, and scale experiments.

The Leiden Cryogenics team was also showcasing their new fast turnaround dilution refrigerator, running OrangeQS Juice. More details about this collaboration on the Quper project can be found in the recent news article.

Resonance III
On Wednesday, OrangeQS was a co-host of the Resonance III community event. Resonance is a partner-led gathering that brings the quantum community together in a relaxed and collaborative setting. This third edition brought together more partners than ever before, with 28 co-hosts contributing to an evening focused on meaningful conversations and collaboration.

OrangeQS Juice & FLEX
On Thursday there was a talk by Adam Lawrence on transmon-based thermometrics through integrated control of cryo-system parameters and automated quantum chip diagnostics. In this talk Adam presented the development of a cryogenic quantum chip test setup that is fully integrated with the OrangeQS Suite and OrangeQS Juice.

This unified control platform enables efficient and automated chip testing, supports feedback between quantum experiments and cryogenic parameters, and facilitates prevention, diagnostics, and mitigation of practical issues in cryogenic quantum experiments.

The open-source frameworks and proprietrary apps of the OrangeQS Suite are only some of the building blocks in the OrangeQS FLEX product line. Each building block can be individually customized and purchased. With a new FLEX configurator, launched ahead of the conference, users can now explore which building blocks they need for a complete FLEX system based on system-level requirements.

Take a look at the OrangeQS FLEX product video where Marlo gives a brief introduction on the system.

OrangeQS Online Updates
Just ahead of the APS Global Physics Summit, we launched the OrangeQS Juice Community. This online space allows users to view questions, answers, and comments from other OrangeQS Juice users and to engage with fellow researchers. We also released a new OrangeQS Juice product video, in which Koushik introduces the open-source operating system and its role in quantum R&D labs.

Looking ahead to the next APS Global Physics Summit
We would like to thank everyone who visited our booth, attended the demonstrations, joined the Resonance event, and took part in dr. Adam Lawrence’s talk. We hope you had a great experience and we look forward to seeing you again at the next APS Global Physics Summit in Atlanta, GA.
