OrangeQS MAX Partnership Program | Innovation through collaboration

The new OrangeQS MAX Partnership Program aligns the company’s exponential development roadmap with key quantum chip manufacturers. The first companies to join the program are Rigetti Computing, QuantWare, Peak Quantum and IQM Quantum Computers.

Why partners join the program:

  • Shared Insights: Strengthen ecosystem learning through shared performance data and measurement insights, enabling higher comparability and faster learning cycles.
  • Efficient use of Resources: Pool expertise and infrastructure to de‑risk and accelerate the development of scalable, utility‑grade quantum testing infrastructure.
  • Standards and interoperability: Contribute to common interface and measurement standards, supporting industrial scalability and a resilient quantum value chain.

Within the program, each partner works independently with OrangeQS to influence specific parts of the OrangeQS MAX technology and product roadmaps, depending on their needs and level of commitment. This approach enables partners to keep their intellectual property protected, while ensuring the next generation of test solutions supports their quantum chip architectures and production processes.

The program is designed to keep the OrangeQS MAX quantum chip testing system future-proof and fit-for-purpose. Future upgrades will allow for faster cryogenic quantum chip testing, aligned with the roadmaps of major quantum chip manufacturers.

Garrelt Alberts, Executive Director at OrangeQS, on the OrangeQS MAX Partnership Program:

“OrangeQS MAX already sets new industry benchmarks for high‑volume, automated quantum chip testing. With our new Partnership Program and support of EIC Fund, we are set to consolidate our leading position in one of the most challenging parts of the quantum computing sector as it scales towards commercial production.”

The future of quantum chip production

Creating quantum chips efficiently will require approaches that go beyond what is being developed in the OrangeQS MAX partnership program.

We have published a new white paper where we propose a framework on Utility‑grade quantum chip testing as the backbone of the ‘lights out’ quantum foundry.

What our partners say

“The Partnership Program is a great way for us to tackle a critical system objective for our chiplet-based QPU designs: faster, non-destructive, scalable quantum chip testing. We have experienced first hand the amount of time and resources required for functional quantum chiplet testing. As we evolve our approach, we look forward to the non-destructive testing methods developed in the OrangeQS MAX Partnership Program.”

David Rivas, COO at Rigetti

“Scaling quantum chip fabrication from lab to production means testing thousands of devices, not dozens. That requires purpose-built infrastructure, and OrangeQS is tackling that challenge head-on. We’re excited to inform and support the development through the Partnership Program”

Thomas Luschmann, Co-founder and Managing Director at Peak Quantum

“At IQM, we’re focused on providing quantum computing infrastructure to enterprises, research institutions, universities, high-performance computing centers, and national laboratories worldwide. Scaling to large quantum computers means that testing infrastructure for quantum chips has to keep pace. Contributing to the MAX Partnership Program lets OrangeQS advance testing methods that will benefit the whole field, and we’re glad to support that work”.
