About OrangeQS FLEX

The OrangeQS FLEX system brings together a powerful set of modular components designed to create a fully integrated quantum chip testing environment. Built to work seamlessly alongside your existing quantum lab infrastructure, the FLEX provides a unified framework that scales with your research.

At the core of the FLEX system are three groups of building blocks:

Cryogenic subsystem
Cryogenic sample environment and I/O chain, with optional reference QPU.

Room-temperature subsystem – OrangeQS Rack
Hardware engineered for stability, performance, and clean integration of all test equipment.

OrangeQS Suite – Proprietary Apps & Open-source Frameworks
Comprehensive software environment offering best‑in‑class diagnostics, system control, and workflow automation. The Suite makes use of OrangeQS Juice, the open-source operating system for quantum R&D labs.

Each building block can be individually customized and purchased. We also offer a complete FLEX system based on system-level requirements, like the type and number of qubits you work with.

Try out OrangeQS Juice for free today! The open-source operating system is developed specifically for quantum R&D labs, bringing together experimental data in a clear dashboard environment that can be accessed and controlled remotely by multiple users.

Room-temperature subsystem – OrangeQS Rack

Your Complete Room‑Temperature Control Stack

The OrangeQS Rack delivers a fully integrated room‑temperature control stack, combining modular hardware and software elements that can be tailored to your lab layout and testing workflow. It forms the operational backbone of your quantum chip measurement setup, ensuring clean integration with your cryogenic environment.

At the heart of the rack is the Juice Box, a ready‑to‑use control PC engineered for seamless connection to your dilution refrigerator and cryogenic I/O. The Juice Box comes pre‑installed with the open‑source OrangeQS Juice operating system, giving you a stable, optimized platform to use on experiments.

This control PC also runs the OrangeQS Suite, our licensable collection of software tools that automate setup control, streamline experiment execution, and accelerate device characterization. Together, the Rack, Juice OS, and Suite create a cohesive control environment designed for reliability, scalability, and ease of use.

OrangeQS Suite

The software tools for your experiments

The OrangeQS Suite contains the Open-Source Frameworks and Proprietary Apps you need to run, automate, and scale your experiments — from cooling down the fridge to automatic qubit tune-up.

OrangeQS Suite – Proprietary Apps

For qubit characterization and calibration, the Suite includes libraries of diagnostic protocols designed to run reliably and efficiently. Depending on the type of qubits you’re working with, you can use libraries of diagnostic protocols for superconducting qubits, TWPAs, or spin qubits. Our Superconducting Qubit Tools (SCQT) contains experiments from hardware verification and corrections up to two qubit gate fidelities and crosstalk characterization.

Within the OrangeQS Suite, you have all the tools you need to build advanced experiments, including physics-based APIs with a pulse-level simulator and graph-based automation through GRACE. The Suite is well documented and includes extensive tutorials.

The OrangeQS Suite also contains Subzero, a unique hardware abstraction layer that makes it easy to monitor and control the cryogenic part of your setup.

For the connection to room-temperate electronics, the OrangeQS Suite uses the open-source Quantify framework.

To unlock the full functionality of the OrangeQS Suite, you can access Proprietary Apps through an Academic, Enterprise or Enterprise Pro license. These licenses also give you access to several other Juice Core Extensions.

OrangeQS Suite – Open-source Frameworks

OrangeQS Juice

OrangeQS Juice the open-source operating system for your quantum R&D lab.

Juice provides a stable multi-user software infrastructure where you can run code, monitor your setup, and manage experiments together with your fellow researchers, so you can focus on physics. The software operates on several dedicated Python kernels, providing services for automating and scheduling experiments, monitoring and controlling the entire setup and lab environment, and managing large data sets.
